LUMO Appear On The Apprentice

Last night's episode of The Apprentice had a particular resonance for cycling fans as the contestants had to pick a cycling product and launch a crowd funding campaign to promote it. While team Nebula (!) decided to go for some headphones, team Titan picked our old favourites LUMO and set about selling their Holloway Gilet which includes hidden LED lights.

They got off to a dodgy start by re-enacting a cyclist being knocked off a bike by a car on the concourse of Waterloo station, and all through the classic medium of mime. Sadly the Titan's performance failed to go viral as intended. They also managed to spell gilet as 'gillet', the definition of which is 'a flighty young woman.'

Founder of LUMO, Lucy Bairner said, "It was proper watch through your fingers stuff...They say no PR is bad PR but when I saw what they got up to in Waterloo I was questioning my sanity.
Whilst the contestants did their best to fail, we gained some nationwide exposure for LUMO, the product got great feedback and we had a massive peak in web traffic so it was worthwhile from that point of view. It also confirmed the correct spelling of the word Gilet."
